Ownership of a telescope is not a requirement for membership. LCRVAC was formed primarily as a viewing and imaging club, allowing people who share any interest in astronomy and related topics to join with others to ask questions, share knowledge and observing experiences. While not a requirement for membership, we encourage members to share their interests and knowledge with members of all the local White Mountain communities to further the enjoyment and understanding of astronomy and related topics.
Club membership is $25 per year which includes membership in the Astronomical League, a subscription to the League's quarterly magazine, "The Reflector", discounted subscriptions to Astronomy and Sky & Telescope magazines,discounted book purchases and free access to the club's reference library, telescopes and imaging equipment.
If you're not ready to become a member then consider becoming a "Friend" of lcrvac.org. Your email address will provide you frequent club news, invitations to local star parties and observing events and access to the club's reference library and telescope equipment for a small fee.
