High Country Astronomy Event June 2026

  • We're looking at spring for our next scheduled get together in the high country. June is typically clear, dry & warm so it's a great time to head for cooler temps in the Arizona White Mountains.

  • I'm checking out campsites up around Big Lake that has hookups & a group area for setting up some scopes. If you have any suggestions just throw them my way. Thanks.

  • The altitude at this location is 9,200'. Depending on monsoon activity, the high country can be susceptible to rain during the day. It generally clears at night with the dark cold air providing superb views of the night sky with cameras, telescopes, binoculars, & the naked eye (SQM 21.76).
